Menhir-like standing stone
Here is a series of photos of a menhir like stone that is intervisible from two of the geometrically connected sites near Halifax. I cannot yet place it in the larger scheme, but it is interesting nonetheless. It is approximately 5 feet tall, and stands on one edge on the bedrock base, propped up by a single, well placed stone.

Unfortunately, the pictures do not clearly show the supporting stone. It is not much larger than a standard softball. The stone is very near the famous [in Nova Scotia anyway] Rocking stone. There are other interesting stone alignments nearby. I photographed some of them, but at this typing the film is still not developed. Coming soon!
